Shaka is built in Normandy by Jim, a windsurfer who kept asking the same question after every session: was the forecast right?

Why Shaka

Forecast apps tell you what might happen. GPS trackers tell you what you did. Neither remembers what the forecast said while you were on the water, so every spot stays a guess: 18 knots on the table, but was it 18 knots on the beach?

Shaka saves the forecast, the live station and the tide with every session. Session after session, each spot starts telling you what works, and alerts bring you back when it does.

How it's made

One developer, a lot of sessions at Jullouville, and the riders of the early-access list who test every build. Maps come from Apple, and the app runs on Expo for iPhone.
