Every session keeps the forecast it was ridden in.

Wind apps show you tomorrow. None of them remember what the models said on the day you had the session of your life. Shaka saves it with your GPS trace, the live reading of the nearest station, the tide, and the gear you rode.

Before you launch, share a live link. Whoever has it follows you on a map, in their browser, no app needed. On the water, a long press on the dashboard calls the sea rescue and warns other Shaka riders within 8 km.

Questions riders ask

Which sports is Shaka for?

Windsurf, windfoil, kite, kitefoil, wingfoil, parawing, surf, surf foil and pump foil. You pick the sport when you finish a session.

Where does the forecast come from?

Windguru forecast points and their models, plus real-time readings from wind stations near your spot. The default WG table blends the models the way Windguru does, and every model is stored with your session.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. Record up to five sessions, create five spots, three alerts and four pieces of gear without signing up. When you create an account, Shaka asks whether to keep what you've done so far.

Is it free?

Yes. Shaka launches free on the App Store.

Does it work outside France?

Yes. Spots, forecast points and stations work wherever Windguru has data, which covers most coastlines and lakes. Move the map above to check your own spot.

Android?

iPhone first. If Android follows, your early-access email is the first place we'll say so.

What happens to my data?

Your sessions belong to you: export any session as CSV, and delete your account from the app to have everything removed within 30 days. Details in the privacy policy.
